Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received Scott Gilmore, Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Canada and Senior Adviser on Foreign, Security and Defence Policy.

The meeting highlighted a shared interest in advancing cooperation and partnership between the Sultanate of Oman and Canada across the economic and trade sectors, as well as in the fields of education, academic exchange and diplomatic cooperation.

The meeting also addressed regional and international issues and developments, highlighting the importance of intensifying consultations and joint action, and of strengthening international and multilateral mechanisms in addressing emerging global challenges.

It also emphasised  the importance of reinforcing dialogue and diplomacy in order to support stability, peaceful coexistence, constructive cooperation and balanced international relations.
