His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received Dr Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, at Al Barakah Palace.

During the meeting, they consulted on the latest developments in the region, as well as mediation efforts and initiatives aimed at ending conflicts. His Majesty was briefed on Iran’s perspectives on these developments.

Iran’s Foreign Minister listened to His Majesty’s views on ways to advance these efforts in a manner that enhances prospects for sustainable political solutions and limits the impact of crises on the peoples of the region. His Majesty highlighted the importance of prioritising dialogue and diplomacy in addressing issues, in a way that contributes to consolidating the foundations of peace.

Dr Araghchi expressed his country’s appreciation for Oman’s positions, under His Majesty’s leadership, in supporting dialogue efforts and promoting security and stability in the region, particularly in light of current regional challenges.
