Minister discuss cooperation with Bangladeshi counterpart

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, received in Muscat Dr Khalilur Rahman, Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

The meeting discussed the friendly relations and fruitful cooperation between the two countries, as well as areas of partnership they are working on for the next phase, particularly in the fields of food security, health security, transportation, and promising economic investment opportunities.

The two Ministers also touched upon regional developments and the importance of achieving a lasting peace founded on international law, respect for state sovereignty, good neighbourliness, and peaceful coexistence.

The meeting was attended by Humayun Kabir, Adviser to the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Rear Admiral Khondkar Misbah-ul Azim, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Sultanate of Oman.

In a post on the social media platform X, Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi said the talks were productive and covered investment opportunities and trade across key sectors. He added that the Sultanate of Oman looks forward to a stronger, mutually beneficial partnership.
