6 September 2025

An Omani business delegation is set to begin a visit today to the United Republic of Tanzania, organised by the Al Wusta branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to explore investment opportunities in sectors such as energy, agriculture, fisheries, tourism and logistics.

The delegation, comprising 22 businesspeople from across Oman and led by Dr Salem Aljunaibi, Member of the State Council and Chairman of the Chamber’s Al Wusta branch, will meet senior Tanzanian officials, hold bilateral sessions with local companies and tour industrial and logistics zones, including a programme in Zanzibar.

Dr Aljunaibi said the visit reflects Oman’s drive to expand its presence in African markets, highlighting Tanzania as an emerging destination with diverse opportunities that can foster joint projects and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
