The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Damascus received a delegation of Omani businesspeople participating in the SyrPetro 2025 exhibition, held in Damascus. The meeting discussed investment opportunities available to Omani businesses in Syria. Members of the Embassy visited the exhibition and toured the display stands of the participating Omani companies: Muscat Gas, CanGulf, and Muscat National Oils Factory.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, Asaad Hassan Al Shibani, received Turki Mahmoud Albusaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Syrian Arab Republic, at Tishreen Palace in the capital, Damascus. The meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

A Ministry statement reaffirms Oman’s firm position in rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism.

Turki Mahmoud Albusaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Syrian Arab Republic, received Joseph McCartan, Chief of the Mine Action Programme in Syria for the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS). The meeting discussed the Service’s work in Syria and ways to enhance cooperation.

The Ministry also appreciates the efforts of all brotherly and friendly countries in enhancing stability.

Oman renews its call for the international community to intervene immediately to deter Israel and end its disregard for international law.

The Council affirmed the firm position of the GCC in support of Syria’s independence and full sovereignty.

The Sultanate supports the Conference objective of achieving comprehensive political consensus.

Azza bint Hamoud Albusaidi, Deputy Head of the Mission the Sultanate of Oman to France, took part in the Paris Conference on Syria at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. The event was held under the patronage of French President Emmanuel Macron, who also attended. Also taking part were:  Ministers from the countries of the region around Syria,

The Minister reaffirmed Oman’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote cooperation, trust, understanding, and justice among all nations.

The meetings in Riyadh discussed regional and international efforts to achieve stability in Syria, and to support political solutions to the crisis.

Oman stressed its keenness to strengthen the fraternal relations between the Sultanate and Syria.

The Minister reiterated Oman’s position preserving Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

Oman’s Foreign Minister said the Palestinian cause was a central topic of their discussions.

The discussions addressed regional and international issues and developments.
