Maithaa Almahrouqi, non-resident Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Ukraine, and head of mission in Berlin presented a copy of her credentials to Olexandr Mischenko, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, during a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kyiv.

The Ambassadors to the Federal Republic of Germany of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held a consultative meeting in Berlin with the German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul. The meeting discussed the current situation in the Gulf and its repercussions on the region’s countries and the world. The meeting also reviewed cooperation between the Federal Republic of Germany

The German President condemned the attacks that targeted Oman, the GCC states, and other countries in the region.

The consultations focused on key current issues in addition to addressing economic, climate and humanitarian challenges.

The Ministers agreed on the importance of adhering to diplomacy and peaceful solutions to safeguard stability and peace.

The Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy to the Federal Republic of Germany held a reception in Berlin to mark National Day. The reception was attended by senior officials of the German Federal Government, members of the Bundestag, heads of diplomatic missions and members of the diplomatic corps.

Sheikh Khalifa spoke about Oman’s plans to achieve net-zero carbon by 2050.

The political consultations, held in Berlin, also discussed international issues.

The discussions highlight the necessity of rallying international efforts to counter Israel’s violations of international law.

They exchanged views on current regional tensions resulting from the Israeli military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

They discussed regional developments and the ongoing conflicts and tensions, emphasising the need to avoid the risks of escalation.

Maithaa  Almahrouqi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Federal Republic of Germany, paid an official visit to the office of the State of Hesse in Berlin. She met with Manfred Pentz, Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs and Debureaucratization.
