Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, received Dr Géza Andreas von Geyr, State Secretary at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.

The meeting reviewed relations and ways to strengthen them, particularly Germany’s interest in diversifying existing cooperation and exploring new opportunities.

The meeting also discussed escalating tensions in the region and issues of mutual interest.

Dr von Geyr expressed Germany’s appreciation for the positive role played by the Sultanate of Oman in de-escalation and mediation efforts.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Yousuf bin Ahmed Al Jabri, Monika Iwersen, German Ambassador to Oman, and officials from both countries.
