Dr Khamis bin Saif bin Hamoud Al Jabri, Minister of Economy, received representatives of the Oman Trade Office US, during their visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting discussed the key achievements and future plans of the Trade Office which operates under the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It also explored the opportunities and challenges facing the Office as well as ways to strengthen cooperation to ensure that the Office meets its objectives.
The visit focused on strengthening mutual economic and investment partnerships, particularly by supporting Omani exports and increasing their access to the US market, on attracting US investment to Oman and on developing trade cooperation in general between the two countries.
Trade between Oman and the United States reached approximately OMR 555 million by the end of July 2026. Chemicals and aluminium were among Oman’s main exports to the United States, while vehicles and other means of transport were among the main imports from the United States.
