A delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by Dr Rumaih bin Mohammed Al Rumaih, Vice Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, conducted a field visit to the ports of Sohar, Duqm and Salalah.

The delegation reviewed the operational and logistics capabilities of Oman’s ports and discussed opportunities for cooperation and investment in the transport and logistics sector between the two countries.

The delegation reviewed the infrastructure, facilities and services provided by Oman’s ports, as well as their role in supporting trade flows and enhancing the efficiency of supply chains and logistics connectivity between regional and international markets.

The two countries held joint meetings during which they reviewed areas of cooperation in port management and operations and logistics services, and exchanged expertise and experience. They also discussed available investment opportunities and the potential to develop joint partnerships that would contribute to greater logistics integration between Oman and Saudi Arabia.

The visit comes within the framework of the fraternal relations and strategic partnership between the two countries and their commitment to expanding economic and investment cooperation. This supports the growth of the logistics sectors and strengthens economic integration between them.

The delegation was accompanied during the visit by Engineer Khamis bin Mohammed Al Shamakhi, Transport Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.
