The Foreign Ministry expresses the Sultanate of Oman’s condemnation of the repeated attacks on vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, describing them as a violation of international law and territorial waters sovereignty that threatens maritime safety as well as regional security and stability.

Oman adds that the ongoing negotiations on arrangements governing navigation in the Strait are progressing in a positive and constructive atmosphere.

It underlines the importance of avoiding any actions that could undermine the negotiations or the progress achieved which takes into account the interests of all parties.
