By Royal Directive from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, an official delegation headed by Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, participated in the funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held at the Grand Mosque in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili conveyed the condolences of His Majesty to the Iranian leadership on this solemn occasion.

The delegation also included Dr Mohammed bin Said Al Maamari, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs; Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs; and Sayyid Yaarub bin Qahtan bin Nasser Albusaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
