His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik departed from the Sultanate of Oman this morning for the French Republic on a two day official visit at the gracious invitation of Emmanuel Macron, President of France.
The visit comes within the framework of efforts to strengthen relations between the two friendly countries and to expand prospects for cooperation and partnership across various fields to serve their shared interests and to benefit the peoples of both countries.
Present at the Royal Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty were: Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan; Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs; Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat; Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council; Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council; Sheikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers; Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs; Lieutenant General Said bin Ali Al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service; Dr Mohammed bin Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs; Dr Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health; Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces; Major General Matar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman; Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman; Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman; and Major General Muslim bin Mohammed bin Taman Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan’s Special Force.
Accompanying His Majesty during the visit is a high level official delegation comprising: Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; and Ambassador Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Araimi, Oman’s Ambassador to France.
