His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience at Al Barakah Palace today to Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait.

During the meeting, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, to his brother, His Majesty the Sultan, and his wishes for his continued health and well-being, and for the brotherly Omani people to achieve further progress and prosperity.

His Majesty entrusted his guest with conveying his kind greetings and sincere wishes to his brother, His Highness the Emir of the State of Kuwait, and his wishes to the brotherly Kuwaiti people for continued prosperity and growth.

The interview addressed current events in the region, with His Majesty listening to Kuwait’s perspectives on the war and its painful repercussions on the countries of the region and the global economy.

His Majesty explained Oman’s position on these issues, emphasising the need to intensify efforts towards achieving calm, reducing tension and escalation, and to find solutions to end the crisis at its roots, so preserving the region’s security and stability, and the safety of its peoples.

Commenting on the visit of the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister to Oman, Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi said in a post on Instagram that the visit took place within the framework of strengthening joint Gulf action and coordinating on the latest worrying developments in the region.
