His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today received a phone call from King Willem-Alexander of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

During the conversation, His Majesty and the King discussed the escalating military tension in the region and its serious repercussions that threaten the security of nations and the safety of their people.

The two leaders stressed the need to intensify regional and international efforts to halt the ongoing conflict, to uphold international law and to resume dialogue and diplomatic solutions that will enhance security and stability in the region and the world at large.
