The Foreign Ministry organised a roundtable workshop to consult on the fourth national report for the Universal Periodic Review mechanism on human rights. The aim was to engage civil society institutions and strengthen cooperation among national entities in preparing reports related to human rights.

The workshop comes within the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman to strengthen its international commitments in this field following its ratification of a number of international agreements. It was attended by representatives of government entities, civil society institutions and several specialised experts.
