Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received a phone call this morning from Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.
During the call, they exchanged views on the current escalation in the region. The Ministers noted that the positions of the two friendly countries align, as they both place priority on efforts to stop the Israeli US war on Iran. They also discussed the repercussions of the conflict, including attacks affecting several neighbouring states. The conversation covered the impact on supply lines, maritime navigation and the global economy.
The Malaysian Prime Minister expressed his deep appreciation for the wise policy of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. He also commended the diplomatic and humanitarian role played by Oman and its exceptional efforts in mediation and in supporting regional peace and security.
Sayyid Badr reaffirmed Oman’s commitment to its consistent and balanced policy. He noted that the Sultanate continues to give priority to diplomatic and peaceful solutions above all considerations.
