Launch of electronic attestation service in Türkiye and Bangladesh

The Foreign Ministry, in line with its commitment to providing high quality consular services and supporting the digital transformation goals of Oman Vision 2040, has announced the launch of the twelfth phase of the electronic attestation service in the Republic of Türkiye and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh from 16 February 2026. The service allows users to obtain attestations without the need to visit Omani missions in those countries.

The electronic attestation service was launched in January 2025 and currently covers the following countries: the GCC countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE) as well as: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Pakistan, the Philippines, Portugal, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand and the UK.

The Ministry continues to work on expanding the scope of this service to include other countries, according to a phased plan in cooperation with Oman Post.
