Sri Lankan Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya received at her office Pankaj Khimji, Adviser for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation to the Ministry of Commerce Indusry and Investment Promotion (MCTIT).
During the meeting, the adviser briefed the Prime Minister on the meetings he held during his visit and the discussions that took place to strengthen economic ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Ahmed Alrashidi, Head of the Sultanate of Oman’s Mission to Sri Lanka.
The MCTIT Adviser also met Dr Anil Fernando, Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning,
Mr Khimji also held a working dinner with Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, and Hanif Yusoof, Governor of the Western Province.
While in Colombo, Mr Khimji also met members of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, and a group of business leaders from YPO, the Young Professionals Organisation.
