Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met Anita Anand, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting held to mark the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.

The meeting reviewed relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Canada and explored ways to build on the existing cooperation to serve the interests of both countries.

The two Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments as part of ongoing coordination and consultation on issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Nasser Almanwari, Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines, and officials from both countries.
