Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, participated in the opening of the Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum.

He also took part in a ceremony marking the designation of Kazan as the Capital of Islamic Culture for 2026.

Sheikh Khalifa also attended, alongside Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan the Oman-Russia Business Forum organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry with a large number of Omani and Russian business leaders taking part.

The forum discussed opportunities and prospects for economic cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation.
