The National Authority for the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons held its first meeting of 2026 at the Foreign Ministry, under the chairmanship of Saleh Almaskari, Head of the Ministry’s Department of Global Affairs and President of the National Authority.

The meeting, reviewed progress in the fulfilment of the Sultanate of Oman’s obligations under the Convention. It also discussed the work of the National Authority and its future plans.
