Oman Handling Company "Transom" to Launch Operations in Tanzania By April 2026

Transom, the Omani ground handling company, which specialises in providing aviation and integrated ground services, announced the launch of operations in the United Republic of Tanzania from the beginning of April 2026. The step will be a milestone in the company’s drive to achieve international expansion and access promising new markets.

The planned expansion reflects Transom’s drive to establish a strong regional and international presence.

The scope of operations includes building a comprehensive chain of aviation services including air cargo freighting, ground handling and hospitality to provide integrated solutions that meet the needs of airlines and passengers and contribute to supporting the increasing volume of travel and trade across the African continent.

Nasser bin Ahmed Al Sharji, CEO of Transom, said: “The company’s launch of its operations in Tanzania will contribute to the development of the aviation system and the improvement of the passenger experience.”
