The Sultanate of Oman took part in the opening of the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, held at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The Omani delegation was led by Ambassador Omar Alkathiri, Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations.

The session aims to review the progress achieved under the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and to renew the commitment to women’s empowerment and to support their advancement at the national and international levels
