His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held telephone calls with Sir Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom; Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria;and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.

The calls included an exchange of views on the military escalation in the region and its serious repercussions for countries of the region and the wider world.

They affirmed the importance of concerted international efforts to halt the exchange of fire and to return to dialogue and mutual understanding in a manner that safeguards the interests of states and the safety of their peoples.
