Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, India’s Minister of External Affairs, on the sidelines of the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the Arab India Cooperation Forum.
The Ministers reviewed cooperation between the two friendly countries. They discussed ways to enhance and expand cooperation across areas of mutual interest, especially with regard to the economy, trade and investment. They also discussed energy, transport and logistics, aiming to serve the interests of both countries.
The Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern. They highlighted the importance of continuing coordination and consultation. They called for dialogue and diplomacy, and support for efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region. They also underlined the need to prevent the risk of conflict, strengthen security and stability and advance regional and international cooperation to achieve sustainable development.
