Tunisia: Ambassador attends opening of Artificial Intelligence conference

Dr Hilal Abdullah Ali Alsanani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Tunisia, attended the opening of the AI Forward Summit 2025, “From Information Society towards Intelligence Society” at the Palais des Congrès in Tunis. The Ambassador was invited by Engineer Mohammed bin Omar, Director General of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization.

The event was held under the patronage of Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad; Sofiene Hemissi, Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies; and Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, with the participation of the Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union and the Assistant Director-General of UNESCO.

The opening was attended by heads of diplomatic missions, directors of Arab organisations in Tunis and several experts in the field of artificial intelligence.
