Oman’s Ambassador presents credentials to Bangladesh President

Mohammed Shahabuddin, President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, received the  credentials of Jameel bin Haji bin Ismaeel Al Balushi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, in the Presidential palace in Dhaka.

During the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed greetings from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the President, along with His Majesty’s wishes of good health and happiness. His Majesty also wished the people of Bangladesh further progress and prosperity.

The President of Bangladesh asked the Ambassador to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan, wishing the Omani people further prosperity and growth.

He also expressed his delight at the coincidence of this occasion with the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Oman and Bangladesh. He underscored the depth of bilateral relations and valued Oman’s positive role under the leadership of His Majesty in strengthening international peace and security. He also praised Oman’s role in supporting regional and global stability and development efforts.

The Ambassador also affirmed Oman’s commitment to further strengthening friendship and cooperation with Bangladesh. He emphasised the importance of advancing partnerships across various fields, particularly in economic sectors such as energy, petroleum derivatives, minerals and pharmaceutical industries. He highlighted the potential for expanding promising investment horizons in special economic zones between the two countries.
