Oman welcomes recognition of Palestine by UK, Canada and Australia
The Foreign Ministry expresses Oman’s welcome of the announcements by the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia recognising the State of Palestine.
It considers this step a highly important development in the context of international efforts aimed at achieving a two-state solution and establishing the foundations of security and peace in the region.
The Ministry renewed Oman’s call to the rest of the international community that has not yet recognised the State of Palestine to take similar steps, guaranteeing the Palestinian people their legitimate right to establish an independent state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
