Oman welcomes France’s recognition of the State of Palestine

The Foreign Ministry expresses the Sultanate of Oman’s welcome for the announcement by Emmanuel Macron the President of the French Republic recognising the State of Palestine. The announcement was made during the International Conference on the Peaceful Resolution of the Palestinian Question and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, held in New York.

The Ministry affirms that this development represents an additional encouraging step on the path of achieving justice and the rightful aspirations for the brotherly Palestinian people.

It expresses the hope that all countries of the world will follow the lead of the overwhelming majority of the international community in upholding the two-state solution in accordance with international law and United Nations resolutions.
