Oman welcomes France’s intention to recognise State of Palestine

The Sultanate of Oman commends and welcomes the historic announcement by the French President Emmanuel Macron of his country’s intention to recognise the State of Palestine during the upcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Oman calls on all countries that have yet to recognise the Palestinian state to take this step, as a genuine embodiment of the two-state solution and in affirmation of the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to establish an independent state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
