Oman participates in session of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul
The Sultanate of Oman participated in the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul. This took place over two days to discuss the latest developments in the region.
Heading Oman's delegation, Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, delivered a speech in which he condemned the ongoing Israeli occupation forces’ attacks on a number of Islamic countries. These included the genocide in the Gaza Strip and the aggression against the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Political Undersecretary called for intensified international efforts to halt these attacks and activate diplomatic pathways to resolve regional issues and disputes. He said that the Sultanate of Oman is continuing to play its role in this regard through its ongoing communications with sisterly and friendly countries.
