Oman condemns Israeli occupation forces’ aggression on Gaza and targeting of civilians
The Foreign Ministry expresses the Sultanate of Oman’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the ongoing aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the Gaza Strip, most recently the deliberate targeting of medical, relief and media teams at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, in a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.
Oman renews its call on the international community, and the Security Council in particular, to take decisive measures to protect civilians, end these ongoing and grave violations, and uphold the principles of international law.
It also affirms that justice for the Palestinian people can only be achieved by ending the Israeli occupation of their land and enabling them to obtain their legitimate rights, foremost among them the establishment of their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
