Oman at GCC Russia ministerial meeting

The Sultanate of Oman took part in the 8th ministerial meeting between the Foreign Ministers of the GCC states and Sergei Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation. The meeting was held in Sochi, Russia.

Oman's delegation was led by Sheikh Khalid Almuslahi, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs.

The meeting reviewed ways to consolidate relations between GCC states and the Russian Federation and discussed the joint action plan of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Russian Federation.

The Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues.

The meeting was attended from Oman by Sheikh Ahmed Hashel Almaskari, Head of the GCC Department at the Foreign Ministry; Hamood Altowaiya, Oman's Ambassador to Russia, and a number of Foreign Ministry officials.
