
Oman and Syria discuss diplomatic and economic cooperation
A meeting was held between the Foreign Ministry of Oman and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat.
The Omani delegation was headed by Sheikh Faisal Almarhoon, Head of the Arab Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry. The Syrian delegation was headed by Dr Muhammad Taha al-Ahmad, Director of the Arab and Regional Affairs Department at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
The meeting reviewed diplomatic cooperation between the two brotherly countries. It also discussed opportunities for cooperation in a number of economic, trade and investment fields, as well as the energy, transport, culture and tourism sectors, with the aim of serving the shared interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.
