Oman and Mauritania hold political consultations
The Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania held their first session of political consultations in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott.
The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Faisal Almarhoon, Head of the Arab Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry. The Mauritanian delegation was headed by Mohamed Hanchi El Kettab, Director General for Bilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad.
The session reviewed existing cooperation between the two nations and discussed ways to enhance ties across economic, investment, commercial, cultural, and tourism sectors. The discussions also included an exchange of perspectives on regional and international matters of shared interest.
The meeting was attended by Jassim Alsaadi, Head of Oman's Mission to Mauritania; Mohamed Vall Bah, Mauritania's Ambassador to Oman, and various officials from both countries.
