Minister meets Venezuelan counterpart in New York
Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a meeting with Yván Gil Pinto, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, on the side lines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting reviewed the existing cooperation between the two friendly countries and highlighted the importance of exploring new opportunities for partnership in the sectors of energy, agriculture, mining and investment. It also included an exchange of views on regional and international issues of common interest.
The discussions underlined the need for coordination in multilateral forums and the promotion of dialogue to support international peace and security, while addressing challenges related to food security, climate change and sustainable development.
The two Ministers affirmed their shared position on respecting the sovereignty of states and non-interference in internal affairs, considering this a fundamental pillar for strengthening stability and international cooperation based on mutual respect. A number of officials from both countries attended the meeting.
