Minister meets Philippines Foreign Minister in New York

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met in New York with Maria Theresa Lazaro, Foreign Minister of the Republic of the Philippines, during the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed the relations of friendship and cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of the Philippines, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening these ties and seizing economic, trade and scientific opportunities that serve mutual interests and meet the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.

The two Ministers also exchanged views on key humanitarian issues and regional and international developments, underlining the importance of continuing cooperation in multilateral forums to support security, stability and sustainable development.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials from both countries.
