Oman at opening of 80th session of the UN General Assembly

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi took part in the opening of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which was attended by Kings, Presidents, Heads of State and Government, Heads of delegations, and representatives of international and regional organisations.

The 80th session takes place amid delicate international and regional circumstances, with an agenda that includes issues related to peace, security, sustainable development, and human rights. It will also address major global challenges such as armed conflicts, humanitarian crises, climate issues, and economic and technological transformations.

The session is expected to witness in-depth discussions aimed at strengthening international multilateralism and coordinating joint efforts to find practical solutions for current challenges, thereby contributing to the consolidation of security and stability and the achievement of development and prosperity for all.
