His Majesty receives call from German Chancellor

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a phone call from Friedrich Merz, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The call touched on regional developments and the ongoing conflicts and tensions, emphasising the importance of intensifying international efforts to maintain calm and avoid the risks of escalation, in a manner that contributes to preserving regional and international security and stability.

The German Chancellor expressed his deep appreciation for the balanced approach and wise policies pursued by the Sultanate of Oman in supporting peace efforts and promoting dialogue.

He praised Oman’s constructive role in bridging differences, strengthening the principles of cooperation, serving common interests among nations, and enhancing opportunities for a dignified life for peoples around the world.

His Majesty valued the efforts of the German Government in supporting international security and its commitment to advancing mutual understanding and cooperation based on respect and shared interests.
