His Majesty holds call with King of Jordan to discuss ways to ease regional tensions
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a telephone call with King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
During the call, the two leaders exchanged views on the concerning developments in the region and their serious repercussions, particularly in the wake of recent US strikes targeting facilities inside the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The two monarchs emphasised the necessity of combined regional and international efforts, along with enhanced coordination and consultation, to halt escalation and extinguish the flames of war—both in the Gaza Strip and in relation to the ongoing conflict resulting from the Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
They also stressed the importance of returning to peaceful dialogue and negotiation to achieve political solutions to all issues and crises, in accordance with international law, in a manner that ensures security and stability across the region and spares its peoples further risks and repercussions.
