The Sultan Qaboos Cultural Centre in Washington, DC, hosted the opening ceremony of the Model Arab National University organised by the Deputy Head of Mission, Sabra Al Hooti Speakers presented an overview of the culture of Oman and the political and economic relations between Oman and the USA to more than 350 students from all over America.

A second round of dialogue is due to be held in Washington, D.C. this year.

A delegation from the Oman’s National Defence College made an educational visit to the United States of America. They visited Oman’s U.S. Embassy, the U.S. Department of Defense, defense universities, think tanks and military manufacturing companies where many discussions took place.

His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the Ambassadors and thanked the leaders of their countries for their greetings and good wishes.

Regional and international issues were discussed during the meeting.

The meeting discussed the repercussions of the Israeli war on Gaza

Sayyid Badr said the attacks threaten the stability of the region and complicate efforts to find solutions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack constituted a dangerous escalation of the security situation in the region.

The Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center in the United States capital Washington, DC, hosted a Modern Handicrafts Exhibition in cooperation with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority. It featured examples of craftsmanship from a number of Omani craft houses making contemporary products to preserve the Sultanate’s heritage.

They discussed ways of cooperating to further Oman’s efforts to stop human trafficking.
