The meeting explored prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation across the political and economic fields.

The consultations reviewed existing relations, affirming a shared keenness to continue developing cooperation.

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Washington took part in the Washington Energy Industry Forum, represented by Abdullah Altouqi. The forum was attended by Chris Wright, US Secretary of Energy, along with senior leaders from the energy sector. The forum discussed the future of energy and the formulation of related policies.    

The Committee discussed an integrated industrial complex for the supply chains of renewable energy industries.

Mohamed Arkab, Minister of State for Energy and Mines, received Saif Albadaai, Oman’s Ambassador to Algeria. The meeting was attended by a group of ministry officials and Counsellor Ishaq bin Yahya Al Amri. The meeting discussed prospects for upcoming projects in hydrocarbons and mining between the two countries.

Dr Hilal Abdullah Ali Alsanani, Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia, attended the signing of a partnership agreement between the  Tunisia Electricity and Gas International Services Company and the  Oman National Engineering and Investment Company (ONEIC). Oman was represented  at the signing ceremony by Dr Rashid bin Mohammed Al Ghailani, CEO of ONEIC and Member of the State Council,

The meeting discussed prospects for future cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the field of hydrocarbon resources.  

Oman supports the IAEA’s objectives by strengthening its role in using nuclear technology for peace and development.

The seminar reviewed the challenges of shifting from gas to renewable energy.

The partnership focuses on exchanging expertise, transferring technology, and developing high-quality products.

Ambassador Ahmed Alrashidi, Head of the Sultanate of Oman’s Mission to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, met today with Sri Lankan Minister of Energy, Kumara Jayakody. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil, renewable energy and green hydrogen.

Oman’s first renewable energy storage project is expected to be announced soon.

Algerian Minister of Energy, Mining and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab, received Omani business leader Sheikh Mohammed Albarwani, Chairman of MB LLC (Mohammed al Barwani LLC). The meeting was attended by Saif Nasser Rashid Al Badaai, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, and the Secretary of State to the Minister of Energy in charge

This agreements are a key step in establishing Oman as a global hub for green hydrogen production and export.
