Mohammed Alnahdi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Cyprus, met Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, on the sidelines of his visit to the Republic of Cyprus to take part in an informal meeting of the European Union and regional partners.

The Ministers’ discussion focused on mediation efforts related to the Iranian nuclear issue.

The Foreign Ministers discussed regional developments, including ways to reduce and contain tension.

Ambassador Mohammed Alnahdi, Head of Oman’s Mission to Cyprus, took part in a meeting of the Heads of Missions of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states in the Republic of Cyprus, held at the Embassy of the State of Qatar. The meeting was held to express solidarity and discuss matters of mutual interest.

Royal Decree No. 24/2025 ratifies the agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income, signed in Muscat on  December 8, 2024. These celebrations reflected Oman’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties and promoting Omani culture.

The Minister wished them success in their duties and hoped for further progress in relations.
