Translation of the speech delivered by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr to the Cairo Extraordinary Arab Summit.

By the royal directive of His Majesty, Sayyid Badr will lead Oman’s delegation to the Summit.

The ship with a crew of 25 of various nationalities had been held off the Yemeni coast since November 2023.

Abdullah bin Nasser bin Musalam Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Egypt and Oman’s Representative to the League of Arab States, met with Mohammed Al Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament. The Ambassador emphasised the importance of joint Arab parliamentary work, reaffirming Oman’s full support for the Arab Parliament.

In his speech Sayyid Badr said justice is the foundation of peace and accountability is the only way to end the suffering of Gaza and Lebanon.

Rua Issa Ashraf Alzadjali, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Belgium and to the European Union, received Ambassador Dr Jawad Al Hindawi, Head of the Mission of the Arab League to the European Union, on the occasion of his assuming his duties.

They discussed efforts to stop Israel’s aggression and ways of increasing aid to Palestinians.
