Under the patronage of Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Culture of the State of Qatar, the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra performed various pieces at an artistic evening. The event formed part of the activities relating to Oman’s participation as a guest of honour at this year’s Doha International Book Fair.

Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, Saif Rashid Saif Aljahwari, visited Dr Uğur Ünal, Head of the Turkish Presidency’s State Archives. They discussed Turkey’s archives experience and enhancing collaboration in document-related endeavours.

Indonesia’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arifin Tasrif, met with Oman’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Sheikh Mohamed Ahmed Salim Alshanfari. The meeting discussed enhancing cooperation in the fields of energy and investment.

The Head of Oman’s Embassy to the State of Palestine, Counsellor Salim bin Habib Al Omairi met Dr Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Palestinian Minister for Foreign and Expatriate Affairs. They discussed the current tragic situation in Gaza plus the historical and fraternal relations between Oman and Palestine and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields.

Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Tanzania, Saud bin Hilal bin Saud Al Shaidhani, visited the Oman Oil Marketing Company in Dar es Salaam. He was briefed on the company’s achievements and listened to an explanation of its strategy and development in Tanzania.
