Dr Maryam graduated with honours from University College Dublin, Ireland, and continued her training under the Royal College of Physicians, where her hard work, skill and dedication to patient care earned her three career medals.

Dr Maryam now aims to become one of the first Omani geriatricians, a vital yet underrepresented specialty. She plans to move back to Oman once she has completed her training, and believes that her commitment to improving healthcare for older adults will enable her to make a lasting impact on care of the elderly. Her ambition is to become a leading figure in the field.
