His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, accompanied by President Kassym Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) as part of his state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 During the visit, His Majesty was briefed on the Centre’s operations and its role in strengthening the investment environment and developing financial markets. He also learned about its contribution to attracting international investment and providing a financial platform connecting Kazakhstan with global markets.

His Majesty also received a briefing on the Centre’s areas of expertise and initiatives in finance, investment, financial markets, financial technology and Islamic finance, as well as the opportunities it offers to strengthen economic and investment cooperation at regional and international levels.

His Majesty’s visit to the Centre reflects the Sultanate of Oman’s interest in strengthening economic and investment cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan and benefiting from experience in developing the financial and investment sectors, opening broader prospects for partnership between the two countries.
