His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience at Al Barakah Palace today to Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The guest conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, to His Majesty, along with his good wishes for continued good health and wellbeing.

His Majesty asked the guest to convey his greetings to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with his wishes to him and the Emirati people for continued growth, development, and prosperity.

The audience discussed topics of interest to the two countries at various levels, in order to further common interests and aspirations. Views were also exchanged on the rapid developments in the region and ways to achieve calm and de-escalate tensions through balanced diplomatic means and intensified coordination and consultation, in order to safeguard the interests and security of states.

The audience was attended from Oman by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs; General  Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; and Abdulsalam Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA).

It was attended from the UAE by Ali Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Mohamed bin Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment and various officials.

The guest was welcomed and seen off at the Royal Private Airport by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin , accompanied by General Sultan Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Sultanate of Oman.
