President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic received His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today at the Élysée Palace in the French capital, Paris.

President Macron welcomed His Majesty and his accompanying delegation as esteemed guests of the French Republic.

Upon His Majesty’s arrival at the French Republican Palace, the Guard of Honour gave a military salute to His Majesty, while martial music was performed.

His Majesty inspected the Guard of Honour and then shook hands with senior French dignitaries present to receive him, and the French President shook hands with the members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty.

Afterwards, His Majesty and President Macron exchanged commemorative gifts, followed by a photograph to mark the occasion of the visit.

His Majesty and the French President then held a meeting, during which they discussed a range of political and economic issues and matters of mutual interest to both countries.

The meeting also addressed significant current developments and evolving situations in the regional and international arenas, as well as their implications.

Both leaders emphasised the importance of deepening cooperation and expanding the horizons of the strategic partnership between Oman and France, through greater investment flows, increased economic and commercial exchanges. They also stressed the importance of exploring new avenues for collaboration—thereby fostering sustainable economic development and realising their mutual interests.
