Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received this evening Gérard Mestrallet, Special Envoy for the India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor of President Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic ,in the presence of, and with the participation of, Said bin Hamood Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.
The meeting reviewed the longstanding friendship between the Sultanate of Oman and France and explored ways to strengthen cooperation and partnership in the fields of trade, economics, supply chains, transport and communications.
It also saw an exchange of views on regional and international geopolitical developments and discussed ways to address challenges and issues through peaceful means. The focus was on the positive aspects of international relations and the benefits they bring to peoples and national economies, helping to promote prosperity for all.
In a post on the X social media platform Sayyid Badr said he was delighted to welcome the French presidential adding that they held very positive talks on “peaceful global solutions for shared prosperity”.
